AAPI Population

According to 2010 Census data, the Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) population is the second fastest growing of all of America’s ethnic groups, currently making up about 4% of the total US population. AAPIs have roots in at least 29 Asian countries and 20 Pacific Islander cultures. Members of this group speak over 100 languages and belong to numerous religions; most (95%) are of Asian origin, while the rest (5%) are Pacific Islanders.
