Air Pollution and Brain Damage Discussion

Current Events Article (25 points): You will find, review, and critique a news article that presents current research in biology. The article you are reporting on must have been published within the past 12 months. Use feature articles, not short summary articles. Use the college library or internet as a resource, please do not purchase an article.

Logistics: Your paper should be written by YOU, not the author of the news article. Copying and pasting sentences and/or phrases into your paper is plagiarism (aka stealing) and will result in a zero on the assignment. Please do not include quotes from the article, this assignment is practice for you to summarize and think about a news article. Include a photocopy, electronic link, or attach a pdf of your article. The paper should be 1-2 pages typed, double space and address EACH of the following questions:

  1. Who conducted the study? Some details about the author, like who is he and stuff. (Brief introduction)
  2. What is the question or purpose of the study?
  3. What were the results or findings?
  4. How is this research relevant to society?
  5. Why did you choose this article/topic?
  6. How do the findings relate to one of the concepts you have learned about in class? (Structure/Function and Evolution, Cells,Themes in Biology, Science, Sponges and measurement of sponge, Sponges ecology, Atoms and Bonds, etc)
