  1. Assuming Polonium (highly radio active and named after Poland) has a radius of 167.6 picometers, what would you expect it’s unit cell edge length to be? Also draw and label the unit cell.
  2. And…Find the Face Centered Cubic (FCC) lattice parameter in terms of the radii of the atoms. Show your work (i.e. draw the plane with the closed pack directions…means where they touch) and show the math. Then find the lattice parameter for FCC gold assuming an atomic radius of 144 picometers.
