The Weight Watchers diet plan is a good plan because it allows you to eat a variety of different foods and does well to not restrict foods that are comforting, all while teaching you to control your portions. Certain foods are worth points and you are allowed a certain amount of points in a day. My mother lost 80 pounds on Weight Watchers. She would go to meetings every Saturday and was always so excited to be rewarded for her progress. With being able to keep track of her daily points and have the support of other dieters, she was extremely successful.

There are a lot of fad diets that are not so healthy. The egg diet is one that many people try in order to lose weight fast. Eggs are high in protein and low in carbs, so it is easy to believe that you’ll lose weight by only eating eggs. However, this is not a good diet because eggs do not contain an adequate amount of fiber which can lead to constipation and other gastrointestinal issues. They are also high in cholesterol which can lead to heart disease.

While I was in the Army, my friend and I had gained a little weight on summer block leave and tried out the egg diet for a few days and lost enough weight to not have to worry about the weight we gained when we got back to work. It was miserable and I would not recommend it at all. There are variations of the egg diet that are not so strict, but I love eggs and after the strict egg diet, I despised them for months.
