Billy comes down with chicken pox and is sent home from school. His mother takes him to a pediatrician. The doctor tells her, “Well… he should be fine in about a week. Bed rest is all he really needs- and plenty of fluids” Billy’s mother calls her employer and requests FMLA ( the Family and Medical Leave Act) leave to take care of Billy for the next few days.
