Course Learning Outcomes for Unit III Upon completion of this unit, students should be able to:

  1. Develop an academically valid research topic. 2.1 Examine both the pro and con sides of the controversy that is the research topic. 2.2 State a tentative, working thesis statement that clearly asserts the argument of the paper.

  2. Utilize the accepted APA style and conventions.

6.1 Demonstrate proper use of APA conventions through incorporation of source materials in the proposal.
