dylann-roof-1

For this essay – you are analyzing Roof’s life and crime through the existing assumptions and beliefs that are identified in your textbook. The essay will require you to apply ALL the different theories covered over the course of the semester that may have led to him committing this murder.

If a theory applies to Dylann Roof you must explain WHY the theory applies. If a theory does not apply to Dylann Roof you must explain WHY it does not apply. What I am expecting to read in your essay is that you considered all the explanations of crime and behavior from the textbook and end up with a conclusion of what was the driving factor(s) that existed in Roof’s life to create a mass murderer whose focus was on race.

I expect this will be a 7-9 page paper. You must include at least 8 references.Of the 8 required references, at least 3 resources must be Journal articles 2013 – present date, and/or Law/Statutes, Legislation/legal cases/court decisions. One of your resources is obviously going to be your textbook for the explanations of crime and behavior using criminological theories. For this essay you may also use news articles, popular media, magazine articles and any other sources that have covered the criminal case, trial, and sentencing and appeals of Dylann Roof. There are numerous resources I attached them Dylan Roof resources for you use.
