Health promotion models and theories incorporate a wide range of explanatory and predictive variables which offer effective health promotion and prevention. Since the social context that includes social, cultural, economic, political, legal, and historical issues is continually changing, health remains as the nexus as to how individuals approach healthcare. Health promotion allows individuals, families, and communities to make desired changes that will impact their health and well-being.
