IAD 240: DIGITAL VISUALIZATION 

FINAL PROJECT
OBJECTIVES:
 To express understanding and knowledge of the computer program Revit
 To display the use of Revit for presentation and construction documents.
DESCRIPTION:
Using one of your previous projects, current studio project or a sample project that you
have basic drawings for, you will recreate it three-dimensionally in Revit. ALL PROJECTS
EXCLUDING CURRENT STUDIO PROJECT, NEED APPROVAL PRIOR TO BEGINNING. There
are several things you have learned throughout this semester that need to be displayed
on your drawings. For example:
 Custom materials
 Customize storefront/curtain wall
 Stairs and railings – modify your railing in some way (several modifications were
reviewed throughout the semester)
 Ceiling plan showing bulkheads and soffits
 Custom furniture & signage – noted and highlighted on sheet
 Lights and rendering
 Tags, Notes, Schedules and Detailing
DELIVERABLES:
Select your sheet size no bigger than 24×36 – create a title block/border design. Make
sure your name, IAD 240 – SPRING 2017, FINAL PROJECT – appears
within your title block. Arrange at least the following drawings on your sheets:
 Floor plan(s)
o Show room names & area, wall tags, notes, dimensions
 Ceiling plan of featured 3 or 4 bedroom
o Show ceiling heights, ceiling tags/material
 Exterior elevation (2)
o Show levels and notes/tags; what did you change?
 Interior Elevations (2)
o Bathroom or casework and custom furniture
o Show dimensions, notes, and tags
 Perspectives Rendered (3)
o At least 2 must be interior
 Finish schedule
