Step 1 Read the scenario.

You will be giving an in-service workshop on the common alterations of cardiovascular functioning to a group of new coders. To prepare for the workshop, you will review some of the more common alterations found in cardiovascular functioning.

Step 2 Choose a disorder of cardiovascular function.

Select a cardiovascular disorder for this discussion and, if necessary, research the clinical manifestations of the disorder.

Step 3 Post a response to the discussion board.

In your post, describe the alterations in cardiovascular functioning associated with the disorder you have chosen. Include the etiology, risk factors, prevalence, potential complications, prognosis, and if it can be iatrogenic or prevented. List two to three medications that may be used to treat the disorder. Be sure to cite all sources used and provide a reference in the format requested by your instructor.
