Professor and classmates,

I won’t lie, when I registered for this class I was a bit on the edge because it sounded like a class that could be extensively difficult if the professor wanted to drag it out. But I honestly enjoyed this class and didn’t even mind the double discussions every week. For one: because they were highly intriguing subjects and for two: we did not have over exhaustive assignments! That could’ve been disastrous!!

I think the discussion topics were thoughtfully placed in a good order and the commentary was greaaat – not boring or too much!! I like Week 6 discussions, detention policies. We were allowed to do research but also formulate out own opinions- this made it more interesting in such controversial topics! One learning take away from this class is that, history is not boring when taught by a proper instructor, where homeland security is hands down one of the best arenas to study in history.
