The Stone Mountain

Cite and reference sources in proper APA format.

The Earth contains many geological wonders made of rock—the Grand Canyon, Devil’s Tower, and Stone Mountain here in the United States; Uluru (Ayer’s Rock) in Australia; the Devil’s Causeway in Northern Ireland; and the Katskhi Pillar in Poland. Choose one such geological wonder from somewhere in the world. It should be a single location (not a range of mountains, for instance). Share your research about this feature with us. Include a description of it, where it is found, what makes it noteworthy, which types of rock comprise it, and most importantly, its geologic history. Your discussion of its geologic history should include: 1) how the original rock formed, and 2) how the feature itself formed. Include mention of what role, if any, weathering and erosion played in the development of this feature.
