Question 3: After reading the following conflict situation; recommend an approach to solving the following conflict situation: “The nurses in the Outpatient Department in a large university hospital are complaining about patients’ charts not being available when the clinic opens. They see the root of the problem being an “uncooperative” staff in the Medical Records room. They complain only among themselves because they perceive managers as too detached from the day-to-day problems and frustrations that occur at the level of care delivery.” (1) Draw an organizational chart of an Outpatient Department, showing lines of authority and responsibility, and use the chart for approaches to the problem. (2) What conditions have to exist if the staff in the medical records room is truly “uncooperative”? (3) What other causes could explain the situation?
