This report is a very good reference document with regard to mental illness and the improvements in health care. The report was prepared for use by mental health care service providers, professional and the general public in order to provide a better understanding as well as providing insights into mental illness. In doing this, the report is divided into three main sections, that is, understanding mental illness, causes and treatment and management of mental illnesses.

The first section of this report simply provides an understanding of what mental illness is. The first section begins with an introduction of mental illnesses by defining the different mental illness associated with most patients. The report defines the different kind mental illness including schizophrenia, paranoid schizophrenia, manic depression, psychosis, and bipolar effective disorder. The report further explains the common symptoms associated with different mental illnesses such as delusions, hallucinations and strong fluctuations of mood. The report further suggests that some mental illness may change the cognitive perception of the brain including changing the perception of colors and the estimation of time.

After such an understanding of mental illness has been developed, the report proceeds to provides insights into causes of such mental illness. The report argues that the interaction between biological, social and psychological causes have a significant impact on the psychotic experience of different patients.

The final section reviews the treatments methods and implication of such methods on overall improvement in health care. The report argues treating mental illness goes beyond clinical or biological treatments. There is need to address the social aspects of mental illness and provide safe haven for both the patient and health care provider. The project proposes a community policy that would guide the manner in which members of the community relate with the mentally ill.
