power-point-presentation-101

You have been named as the Vice-President of Marketing for a new division in your organization. It is your responsibility to design a marketing plan for a new product or service. (For purposes of this course, your product can be a real or imaginary product.) Be creative!

Your project should be turned in as a power point presentation and it counts as 20% of your final grade. It takes the place of a comprehensive final exam so do a good job. If you do not know how to do a power point presentation, go to the learning lab or the computer lab or find someone who will help you. Also, there are a lot of how to videos on power points, or, read a book on it. If you still have trouble, get with me.

Your marketing plan will include: which means allof these things are required components of your project!!!!

  1. A detailed description of the product or service (& maybe a bit of info on your business)
  2. Define how this product/service fits with your organization’s mission statement (that means you will have to post the mission statement)
  3. Perform a situation or SWOT analysis
  4. Define the product’s target market
  5. Describe the demographic segmentation of the product/service for all of these areas: age, gender, income, ethnic background, family life cycle
  6. Define the geographic segmentation of the product/service market
  7. Define the psychographic segmentation of the product / service’s market
  8. What are the objectives of your marketing plan?
  9. Are there legal concerns with this product or service?
  10. What do you feel will be the possible market share of this product?
  11. Will you market this product or service globally?
  12. Will this product / service be in demand?
  13. Will this product/service be marketed to a B to B or a consumer market?
  14. What media will you use and why?

15. Now comes the fun part! Now that you have defined your target market, you must develop your marketing strategy. How will you develop the product? What will be your distribution, promotion, and pricing strategies?

16. Once you have designed your plan, you must be able to implement the plan.
Implementation is a major component of any plan as it is the process that turns the plan into action assignments.

17. Evaluation entails gauging the extent to which the marketing objectives have been achieved. How will you know if the plan is working? Control helps to evaluate the plan and offers corrective actions.

There is no fixed format for a marketing plan. You may design your plan any way you would like, in no particular sequence or order as long as it contains the required information. Be creative! Advertising falls into the promotional category. Be creative as to how you plan to advertise the product. Remember, money may be a factor, (it usually is), and this may decide how you will market or promote your product. If you’re inventing a new product or service and a new business, make your expenditures realistic. Cash could be in short supply. Will you use social media to promote your product, word of mouth, TV, radio, door to door, etc.

Although your marketing plan is your own “creation”, it is necessary to have the above components so that I, as your instructor, can measure what you learned in this course.

Unit VIII Final Project

Instructions

As you have learned in this course, politics are an inherent part of government and every citizen’s life. In this unit, we discussed the domestic, economic, and foreign policies utilized by the United States. In addition, we discussed how these policies affect the United States, both domestically and abroad. This is evidenced in part by the concepts of isolationism and internationalism.

In the Unit VIII Final Project, you will accomplish the following:

  • Select one type of policy covered in the unit, describe its purpose and goals, and explain the role each of the three branches of government in the development of the chosen policy.
  • Discuss how the policy you chose affects U.S. implementation of isolationism or internationalism, and describe how the media influences such action and decisions.
  • Explain how each level of government is or is not affected by the type of policy you have chosen.
  • Describe how one’s political party affiliation can affect his or her beliefs about the type of policy you have chosen.

Locate at least three academic articles that support your position.

Your paper should consist of at least three pages. Be sure to include an introduction in your paper. Any sources used should be cited and referenced properly using APA formatting.

sociological-imagination-10

Watch the video Sam Richards: A radical experiment in empathy.

After watching the TED video and reading the section about the Sociological Imagination, take the viewpoint of an outside observer to examine your life.

First, pick one personal experience that was meaningful to you.

Second, pick a viewpoint different from your own. It can be another gender, race, nationality, or maybe someone from a different subculture. Finally, write about the three points listed below.

Write a 500 or more word paper discussing each assignment point listed below.

1.Describe the personal experience as an outsider might describe it. (hint: depending on what you choose and the perspective you choose, this may require a little research)

2.Describe how that experience was influenced by society structures (e.g. historical events, religion, or traditions)

3.Finally review the four main perspectives and theorists related to those perspectives. What theory most applies to the personal experience you described and why do you think this theory applies?

Your paper must include a title sheet and at least 2 outside references. You may use one reference from the internet but the 2nd reference must be from the Grantham University online library. Only the body of the paper will count in your word requirement.

To help you begin your first paper, I have given you an example of a personal experience, the structure that helped to shape this event, and the theory that I would apply to it. Although what is listed below is an outline, I would like you to write in paragraph form.

Example:

Personal experience: wedding

Viewpoint: perspective of a person from the subcontinent India

1.Description: Wedding itself was short, crowd was small, took place outside of hometown, and the bride wore white

2.Social Structure: institution of marriage, marriage laws, and religious traditions

3.What theory: functionalism

a.Why this theory: functionalism supports social structure that is functional for society and marriage is functional for families and households

read-the-article-provided-and-summarize-analyze-the-case

the link attached is article called ” In San Jose, Poor Find Doors to Library Closed.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/31/us/in-san-jose-…

you can use other resource and articles

1. Briefly summarize the facts of the case.

2. Then determine what the moral problem. If there are several moral problems, focus on one. Some cases have not only moral, but also legal and/or religious and/or custom-related implications—make sure to clarify and keep them all apart. Once you have chosen one specific moral problem to evaluate, stick with it. Don’t stray, don’t move back and forth between different moral problems.

3. Apply one or more ethical theories from the ones we have studied in class to the case. Briefly describe the theory/theories you are using and quote the principle. For example, quote the Greatest Happiness Principle if you are applying utilitarianism and explain it in your own words. Or quote Kant’s categorical imperative, either the first or the second formula, or both, if you apply both, and interpret them. Other theories could be useful as well, such as Aristotle’s virtue theory and Locke’s theory of human rights.

4. Your application of a theory should be as detailed as possible. When applying utilitarianism, evaluate all potential consequences of all options for everybody affected, then choose the action with the best overall outcome for everybody involved. When applying Kant’s first formula, look for a self-contradiction in the rule of the action, which means it is morally forbidden; if everybody could perform the action under similar circumstances, it is morally acceptable. When applying the second formula, see how people are treated, as persons with respect or as mere means to other people’s ends. When applying Aristotle, look for the action that constitutes the virtuous mean between excess and deficiency in a particular situation for that particular (rational) person. When applying Locke, determine which basic human right is concerned.

5. What is the solution that your application of an ethical theory/ies suggests? Consider at least one possible objection to it.

6. Do you agree with the solution? Why or why not?

peer-review-162

Deliverable length: 500-700 words. Review at least 1 other student’s Key Assignment Outline and provide meaningful feedback. Refrain from general feedback, such as simply stating “good job.” Your feedback to other students is most helpful if you not only point out weak areas but also offer suggestions for improvement. The best feedback takes a three-stage approach to identify what was done well, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

Attached you’ll find the assignment to review and also instructions from units 1-3 of what the paper should include.
