Read chapters 1 (Introduction) and 9 (Scientific Inquiry and How people Learn). Please note that chapter 9 comes right after chapter 1.

For the reflection questions, focus on selecting passages from chapter 9.

1. List 3 key ideas from the reading that you find new, important, or of particular significance for you as future educator.

2. Choose three passages from the reading that you find particularly interesting. Identify and quote the passage. Follow each quoted passage with a short explanation (e.g., 2-3 paragraphs) of why you find it especially compelling. (Make sure to cite the page number for each passage.)
