Spatial Analysis Projection and Coordinate Systems PP Presentation

  • If you have a Windows please become familiar with the software Screencast-o-matic. Here are some helpful tutorials courtesy of Shrobona Karkun.
  • If you are a Mac user please use the screencasting function on QuickTime.
  • If you don’t have an internal microphone on your computer you can borrow one. There are several places on campus where you can do this. You won’t need it for long.
  • Your oral presentation will focus on one part of your written reflection – lab 11 – (1 out of 3)
  • Your screencast should be 2-3 minutes long. Don’t go overboard.
  • Please include 2 PowerPoint slides in your presentation. One should contain an example of the work you did in lab coupled with the learning objectives/outcomes you accomplished. You will use one of the concepts/learning objectives that you learned in the class to explain what you did in the lab. In a screencast – you use your microphone to narrate over what appears on your computer. Please watch the video for an example of what this should look like.
  • In the second slide you should include an image or a link to a website that shows how the concept you examined sheds light or provides insight into a real-world problem.
  • IMPORTANT – Under no circumstances can you just upload the video you make. Formatting and size issues make this very hard. Instead upload your video to a file sharing application. You can either upload it to Owl Box and share the link to the folder with your instructor or do what I recommend – upload your video to YouTube and make sure to make it ‘public’ or ‘unlisted’ for privacy settings. Please see the second video for help with this task.
  • Have fun with this!
